The Complete Birth Plan Pack

£8.00

Your PDF will be available to download immediately!

Your birth does not have to feel like you are on a medical conveyor belt; we all dream of how special meeting our baby will be and there are ways to adapt calmly and confidently as your birth unfolds. Being able to make informed choices about your care can help you feel in control; we aren’t aiming for a perfect birth- more a realistic and empowering one.

We’ve created a really thorough Birth Plan Package, so you have everything you need in one place. We suggest areas to research, discussion points to share with your birth partner and things to ask your Midwife.

Included in the download:

  • A comprehensive guide on what to include in your plans (broken down into stages of labour)

  • How to plan for adapting if your body or baby require medical assitance

  • Labels for your notes (so you can highlight anything important to medical professionals)

  • Birth icons (clear cut images of your options which can be stuck to your birth plan document)

  • Two different versions of our blank birth plan (so you can pick how detailed you want to be)

This is for you if…

  • You are planning ANY type of birth, including a caesarean, home birth, VBAC, induction (the list goes on…)

  • You are looking for ways to feel more prepared about the options you have during and after birth, including medical interventions

  • This isn’t your first birth, but you need a recap of each stage of labour and what could be offered to you

  • You are doing some last minute prep (40+5- no worries!). This is a working document and can even be changed ON THE DAY if needs be

  • You want to discuss your birth preference with you birth partner, your midwife- or anyone who’ll listen!

“It has opened up so many new ideas for us with regard to the birth and post birth of our baby. For us, the abundance of knowledge given is everything we need to be able to confidently advocate for ourselves during the birthing process.”
— Ells and Jamie

FAQs

  • Won’t I get a birth plan on my antenatal course?
With us you will, but we can’t obviously vouch for other courses. We assume you’ll have a brief discussion about what it is and why it is useful. Even your midwife will arrange an appointment to go over your preferences, so it’s important to be prepared!
We’ve given you a really comprehensive breakdown of your options for each stage of labour and provide you with a really strong foundation to write your plan no matter what type of birth you are planning or what stage of pregnancy you are at.

  • Isn’t having a birth plan setting us up to fail? Won’t it all just go out of the window on the day?
Nope! We don’t aim for the ‘perfect’ birth here at The Birth Project; it’s all about learning and doing research so you aren’t blindsided by medical jargon and can make informed decisions.
To do this you need to have a realistic set of preferences that you can adapt if your body or baby should require on the day. In the pack we explain the value of having a plan A, B and C for this exact reason.

  • Can I have a refund?
As this is a digital download, we are unable to offer you a refund. If you have further questions about the suitability of The Complete Birth Plan Pack, please contact us prior to purchasing.
